Ezekiel 8:12-14

¹² Then he said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, each one at the shrine of his own idol? They think that the Lord has forsaken the land and that he does not see them.” ¹³ He also said to me, “You will see even greater abominations practiced by them.”

¹⁴ Next he took me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the Lord, where women were sitting, weeping for Tammuz.
